On Saturday, November 29, Bucharest City Hall officially kicks off the winter holidays with the opening of the Bucharest Christmas Market in Constitution Square. On the same day, the festive lights will be switched on across the capital, and the Bucharest Downtown Christmas Market will also open in University Square.
Starting Saturday at 5:00 PM, the 18th edition of the Bucharest Christmas Market opens in Constitution Square — the largest winter holiday event in Romania, organized by Bucharest City Hall through CREART. A true cultural and tourist landmark, the market brings together the Bucharest community and visitors from around the world in a festive setting that celebrates tradition and the spirit of Christmas.
For 30 days, the Bucharest Christmas Market welcomes visitors with the tallest eco-friendly Christmas tree in Romania, Santa’s House, a panoramic Ferris wheel, a double-decker carousel, theater shows, and numerous attractions for children. Over 120 festive cabins will offer culinary delights and handcrafted products made by artisans who preserve authentic traditional techniques. The artistic program completes the atmosphere in Constitution Square with folk customs, carols, and concerts.
